On 12 and 13 June 2017, the project EFFICHRONIC was officially launched at the Headquarters of the Executive Agency of the European Commission for the Third European Health Programme (2014-2020) in Luxembourg. Representatives of the six partners from five European countries that are involved in the project attended the kick-off meeting.
All the consortium partners had the opportunity to exchange ideas and interests, and share organizational aspects that will be of significant importance for the beginning and the overall implementation of EFFICHRONIC. This project aims to improve the sustainability of health systems by providing cost-effectiveness data for the implementation of a chronic disease self-management programme (CDSMP) focused on vulnerable population, and has a duration of three years.
The Scientific and Financial Officer of CHAFEA (the Consumers, Health, Agriculture and Food Executive Agency of the European Commission), and the Policy Officer from the DG SANTE (the Directorate General Health and Food Safety of the European Commission) of this project also attended the meeting. They presented the rules of the Third European Health Programme for project management and justification.
